Rumble Ponies Won't Play At Home Until At Least Mid-May

VESTAL, NY (WSKG) - The Binghamton Rumble Ponies have postponed all home games until at least May 10th. This comes amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Although we are saddened to postpone the first 17 games of the 2020 season, we understand the severity of the situation and look forward to providing a safe and healthy fan experience once we are able to play baseball at NYSEG Stadium,” Rumble Ponies Managing Director John Bayne said in a statement.

The Rumble Ponies said the team would follow the guidance from local, state and federal officials before deciding when the team will play.

Binghamton announced earlier this month that, along with Minor League Baseball teams across the country, it would postpone the start of the 2020 season.
