Broome County Sets More Guidelines To Limit COVID-19

Updated: 4/9/20 - 12:05 P.M.

BINGHAMTON, NY (WSKG) - Broome County is setting more guidelines to try and limit the spread of COVID-19.

According to County Executive Jason Garnar, people with an odd-numbered birth year should do things like shop, go to parks and go to golf courses on odd days. Those with an even-numbered birth year should go on even days*.

The guidelines will be in effect for the duration of New York's order to keep businesses and schools closed. That currently runs until April 29th.

As of Wednesday, six people in Broome County have died of a COVID-19 related illness.
