BINGHAMTON, NY (WSKG) - New York’s Attorney General Letitia James is claiming victory in a lawsuit filed against an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball team in Endicott
James accused AAUConnect of advertising itself as a premier basketball training program, but failed to provide adequate training, housing and education for kids enrolled in the program.
“Justice has been served for these students who were hoping for a shot at their dreams,” said James said in a statement.
AAUConnect must now issue refunds to customers and is banned from operating a high school or post-grad high school basketball business.
