NY-23 primary election: Paladino doubles down as outspoken 'disruptor'

Paladino Profile WEB

Carl Paladino is running as one of two Republicans seeking the party’s nomination in the newly drawn 23rd Congressional District. The district encompasses Chemung, Steuben, Schuyler and Allegany counties stretching west to Chautauqua and Erie Counties. Paladino’s opponent in the primary is New York state Republican Chairman Nick Langworthy.

The winner of the primary will face Tioga County Democratic Committee Chairman Max Della Pia in the general election.

Paladino discussed candidacy and some policy views with WSKG ahead of the Aug. 23 primary election. Attempts to set up an interview with Langworthy ahead of the primary and special election were unsuccessful.
