DMV Accepting Real ID Applications at NYS Fair

VESTAL, NY (WSKG) — New Yorkers can apply for a Real ID at the state fair. The Department of Motor Vehicles has a mobile office in the Center of Progress Building.
A Real ID will be required to fly within the United States starting in October 2020. Travelers can also use an Enhanced License or a passport, otherwise they will not be able to board a plane.
People looking to apply for the ID should bring appropriate proof of your full, legal name and proof of residency, like a New York State ID card or a pay stub showing your current address. The
state’s DMV has a guide online to help residents determine what documents they’ll need to bring.
