Horseheads HS Senior Selected In Major League Baseball Draft

VESTAL, NY — Horseheads High School senior Michael Limoncelli was selected in the 6th Round of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft on Tuesday.

The Seattle Mariners selected Limoncelli 186th overall. The right-handed pitcher was listed 190th among MLB.com’s top 200 prospects. According to the website, he’s committed to play next year at Coastal Carolina.  Being drafted does not affect his eligibility to play in College next season.

Limoncelli’s father, Jeff, is the head baseball coach at Horseheads.
