New York Attorney General Wins Lawsuit Against Endicott AAU Team

BINGHAMTON, NY (WSKG) – New York’s Attorney General Letitia James is claiming victory in a lawsuit filed against an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball team in Endicott

James accused AAUConnect of advertising itself as a premier basketball training program, but failed to provide adequate training, housing and education for kids enrolled in the program.

“Justice has been served for these students who were hoping for a shot at their dreams,” said James said in a statement.

AAUConnect must now issue refunds to customers and is banned from operating a high school or post-grad high school basketball business.

On Wednesday, Cuomo’s office announced that large-scale vaccination sites at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, the Westchester County Center, the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, State University of New York at Albany and Jones Beach are opening this week and will vaccinate thousands of New Yorkers in the coming months.
