VESTAL, NY (WSKG) – President Trump makes a stop near Williamsport, Pennsylvania Monday. His visit comes on the eve of a special election in the northern tier’s 12th congressional district.
Trump has already tweeted his support for Republican Fred Keller. Now, Trump will support his candidate in person.
Keller faces Democrat Marc Friedenberg in Tuesday’s special election in Pennsylvania-12. They’re vying to replace Republican Tom Marino, who resigned in January.
The district covers parts of north and central Pennsylvania, including Bradford, Susquehanna, Tioga and Wyoming Counties.
Trump is very popular in the district. In 2016, Voters there chose him by a more than two-to-one margin over Hillary Clinton. That came as Trump won Pennsylvania by fewer than 50 thousand votes.
