Low rainfall was already a challenge for New York farmers. Now, fires are making things even more dangerous.

Though some rain fell earlier this week, officials say weeks of abnormally dry conditions have created a high risk for more fires.

Unofficial results show Riley leading Republican Congressman Marc Molinaro by fewer than 4,000 votes. Riley declared victory during a speech in Ithaca Tuesday night. Molinaro did not concede, arguing there are still absentee and affidavit ballots to be counted.
