GreenStar Food Co-op opened its new main store at 770 Cascadilla Street, Ithaca on May 6. GreenStar is unique among the average grocery store, because its community owned by more than 12,000 member-owners and growing. Membership is not required to shop, everyone is welcome! With an expanded line of products in a much larger space, we’re proud to offer more low-cost options, quality brands, and lots of locally grown and produced items.

The new GreenStar features expanded offerings of delicious prepared foods made in the GreenStar Kitchen, ready to grab and go for lunch or serve on your table for dinner. Rotisserie chickens, salads, sides, hummus and dips, sushi by Midori, sandwiches, fresh bowls, complete healthy meals for the microwave, MTO sandwiches, subs, bowls, espresso, smoothies, and more.

GreenStar is baking fresh bread daily as well as cakes, cookies, and other desserts – including vegan and wheat free options. You’ll find fresh meat and cheese as well as local, and organic produce; cooking and baking staples, snacks, dried fruits, and coffee in the bulk aisle; and an impressive selection of non-perishable, frozen, and refrigerated grocery. Visit our health and wellness area for body care, home goods, and a diverse line of vitamins, supplements, over-the-counter medicines, and homeopathic remedies.
