Behind the Scenes Tour at Rose Hill Mansion

Special monthly Behind-the-Scenes tours of Rose Hill Mansion are being offered during the 2018 season. The tours will run on the first Saturday of every month on May 5, June 2, July 7, August 4, September 1 and October 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. These tours are not the same as our regular tour. They are an opportunity for visitors to see and learn about areas of the house not usually accessible to visitors, including the basement and belvedere (the square tower on the roof). Admission for the Behind-the-Scenes Tour is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $6 for children. The tour is recommended for adults and children over 10 years.

Springfield 4th of July Parade and Celebration

The 104th Annual Springfield 4th of July Parade, themed “It’s a Grand Old Flag”, begins at 11:00 a.m. in Springfield Center. Follow the parade to the Springfield Community Center for live music, Brooks’ chicken barbecue, 4th of July Quilt Show, historical displays, games and activities for the whole family. Arrive early for free parking at the Community Center on route 29A. Then join us at Glimmerglass State Park beach for a free evening concert featuring local rock band, “Scattered Flurries”, followed by a display of Fireworks. Concert starts at 7:30 p.m. on July 4th.

Enjoy a day filled with entertainment, food, refreshments, kids activites, and even awards! We can guarantee a fun-filled day for you and your family! All while helping increase awareness and make a community impact. Northeastern Kidney Foundation is a voluntary health organization dedicated to helping improve the quality of life of those affected by kidney disease and related conditions. Northeast Kidney Foundation provides patient programs and education, direct financial assistance and community screenings.
