NY23 Candidates Debate Healthcare, Extremism, Values in Corning

Republican Congressman Tom Reed and Democratic challenger Tracy Mitrano met in a debate Tuesday night at Corning Community College. They are running for the 23rd congressional district seat. The district covers the Western Southern Tier and parts of the Finger Lakes including Ithaca, Elmira and Hornell. The debate was televised by WETM-TV. Healthcare was a prominent topic.

New York 52: A League of Women Voters Event

This debate featured the candidates for New York Senate District 52, Democrat Barbara Fiala and Republican Fred Akshar.  WSKG’s Director of News & Public Affairs, Charles Compton, served as moderator.  The event was organized by the League of Women Voters of Broome and Tioga Counties and was held in front of a studio audience.  The debate aired live on WSKG TV and WSKG Radio on Thursday, October 29th at 8:00pm.
