An annual tradition is back

The Madrigal Choir of Binghamton returns to its annual tradition of Lessons and Carols for Christmas.  Artistic Director Bruce Borton joins us to talk about the wide variety of music presented in this free concert at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church in Binghamton. Tenor Michael Calmes Performs in Two Concerts

Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church welcomes Boston-based tenor Michael Calmes in concert with Trinity’s organist Timothy Smith for two concerts. The First Friday concert at 7pm is ‘Broadway to Hollywood’ with soprano Christina Taylor, and then on Sunday at 7pm they present ‘Canzona’ with arias, art songs, and sacred works.  Michael Calmes talks about the programs and how his family’s dairy cows helped him learn to sing.

Organist Peter Browne is Honored with a Memorial Concert

Organist, choral conductor, and composer Peter Browne died last year.  He was long-time organist/choirmaster at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church and conductor of the Harpur Chorale at Binghamton University. This year a memorial concert has been organized in his memory.  Conductor Bruce Borton and organist Timothy Smith join us to talk about this concert.
