Attempts to save a nearly 100-year-old pool for the city of Elmira failed. The city will demolish the structure and replace it with a splash pad.

The land bank will use the money to save roughly a dozen properties on Broome County’s tax foreclosure list.

“As we continue to come out of this pandemic, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to not just get back to normal, but truly transform our county."
