Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer visited the Village of Dryden in Tompkins County Wednesday.

A vacant building in Cortland is set to house the mental health department serving the county and central New York.

The grant would help scale up parts of the manufacturing economy locally, including incentives for other companies in the battery manufacturing supply chain to relocate to the Southern Tier.

Schumer said the $1 trillion bill would create thousands of union jobs to complete federally-funded infrastructure projects.

“No elected official is above the law. The people of New York deserve better leadership in the governor’s office. We continue to believe that the Governor should resign.”

“Why is this so important? Because whether you know it or not, almost every device, every machine you own, depends on a chip.”

On Monday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that fully vaccinated Canadians returning to the country from the U.S. would no longer need to quarantine.

"We're going to try to make sure that it's really good broadband.”

"That’s not going to make anyone rich, but it’s going to give families breathing room, so when the water’s up to their necks, it’s not going to go over their heads."

The press conference Monday was held at the Hill Top Inn overlooking City of Elmira and the Chemung River and primarily centered around relief for restaurants in the most recent COVID bill.
