In February, people living in Binghamton’s Southside East neighborhood learned they were losing their only grocery store. More than a month after it closed, the neighborhood is still adjusting to the change and the city is trying to fill the gap.
"We want this for people especially with the food prices raising," said General Manager Kinya Middleton. "This will definitely stretch someone’s budget."
"It’s great speaking with a customer, someone who lives on the Northside, who reports that they’re no longer dependent on certain medication because of access."
