For some districts, Wednesday marked the second school threat this week. This week also marks the 10 year anniversary of the Sandy Hook elementary shooting.
Broome County District Attorney Mike Korchak said the alleged shooter did not make any direct threats to the Susquehanna Valley High School or students.
Conklin residents say they are shocked one of their own is the suspect of the shooting in Buffalo. But some Black residents in nearby Binghamton are less surprised.
"The sight of someone with a gun can be alarming, and we don’t want anyone to feel that way at Wegmans. For this reason, we prefer that customers not openly carry firearms into our stores."
