Steuben County is still cleaning up after the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby ravaged several towns and villages earlier this month. The costs are growing and could reach levels similar to when Tropical Storm Fred hit in 2021 and destroyed many of the same areas.

Gov. Kathy Hochul said the storm affected 11 counties, from the Southern Tier to the North Country.

Broome County is in a State of Emergency, as an April storm has dropped over a foot of snow and left thousands without power.

Broome County announced a travel ban for all non-essential vehicles early Thursday morning. It will continue indefinitely until the roads are cleared.

Rain has caused flooding across part of New York and Pennsylvania, but for farmers it's a welcome sight.
